If I meet with TBG for a buying or selling consultation, am I obligated to hire the team?

Absolutely not. We are relationship driven, and believe whole-heartedly that all parties need to feel the “good vibes” between one another. We encourage you to interview us and ask any and all questions you want to know (don’t hold back!). We will also ask you questions about your wants, needs, concerns, and timeline to ensure that we can deliver exactly what you need in the way you want it delivered. After meeting with us, you can take all the time you need to “digest” and/or conduct agent interviews, and we welcome candid conversations about the fit at every step in the process.

Can I cancel my contract with TBG if I am not satisfied or if my moving circumstances change?

Absolutely. We have a satisfaction guarantee and a one day cancellation clause in all of our buyer and seller representation contracts. Although these outcomes are extremely rare, we will never lock someone into a contract who wants to move in another direction (or decides to literally stay put!).

What communication can I expect from TBG?

  • A lot! We are proactive, systems-driven, technology savvy, and pride ourselves on being easily reachable and responsive.
  • Our communication promise is this: you will receive regular updates from our team on a weekly basis without fail. Our on-market sellers receive a weekly phone call from their listing agent summarizing the status of their listing (covering topics such as number of showings, feedback from buyers and agents, status of inbound offers, etc). When you are “under contract” with TBG (meaning you’ve hired us to list your home, or have gone under contract on a home you are buying), you receive a weekly “milestone email” from our Client Concierge, Melissa. That email outlines all completed steps and all outstanding items in your timeline for listing and/or closing. Our under contract clients also receive a weekly phone call from Melissa to personally review the weekly milestone email, answer any of your questions, and proactively plan for all future steps of the process to ensure no detail is missed.
  • In addition to our like-clockwork updates, we are easily reachable through call, text, email, and even social media. Our team uses high-level communication technology on our end of things, which means that everyone is tuned in to the inner workings of each transaction and is able to serve you from a place of being well-informed.

Does TBG work in my area?

  • Inside of Maryland: The vast majority of our day-to-day client work takes place in the Baltimore Metro area: Baltimore County and Baltimore City are our daily mainstays, and we also have plenty of local market expertise and experience serving clients throughout Howard, Harford, Carroll, Cecil, and Anne Arundel Counties. We are always transparent and candid when a client comes to us in an area where we know we will not provide the local market knowledge, network, and availability they need in order to have a stellar experience. When that comes up, we will refer you to a top agent(s) in your area!
  • Outside of Maryland: Because we’ve been in real estate for so long, we have established relationships with realtors all over the United States and Canada. If you have a real estate need anywhere in the world, please let us know - we will connect you with an established realtor whom we know personally, or research and interview an agent on your behalf to ensure you get connected with someone who will take great care of you! We love helping “out of area” clients get their real estate needs met, so don’t hesitate to ask us for a referral.

Do you have a minimum or maximum price point?

No! Our team prides itself on representing anyone who wants to be part of our TBG community. Whether you need assistance with a home that is a complete and total fixer-upper, an investment property, luxury, waterfront, a 55+ community, or anything in between, we are fueled by passion to serve all of our community. We put relationships first - not price points or commission checks.

Can you connect me with a TBG caliber realtor in another state or country?

YES! Contact us here and let us know what you need. We will provide a vetted referral for you. We have relationships all over the world, and will either connect you to someone we know or do the research for you.

Is it too early for me to talk to TBG about buying or selling?

This is one of our favorite questions. It is never too early to think ahead about buying, selling, or anything that relates to real estate and wealth building. We regularly provide consulting services at no charge to our community members on topics related to resale values, home improvements and resale return on investment for those improvements, interest rate and refinance advice, investment property analysis, and much more.

Should I make ___ improvement to my home for resale?

Glad you asked this question! The answer is… it depends! In general, any cosmetic upgrades to your home are a great idea for resale - especially in key areas: front curb appeal, your kitchen, your bathrooms, and general interiors like painting/flooring/fixtures.

There are also many nuances to what makes sense for resale value: how long will you be staying there? How much equity do you have in your home now? What materials are appropriate for your neighborhood/home value? How does this potential improvement relate with other improvements you have or have not made to your home? That answer changes depending on the day you ask!
